A Photo Facial or Photo Rejuvenation is a cosmetic treatment designed to produce younger and healthier looking skin. As most of us age, we begin to see visible signs of sun damage, time, lifestyle choices, and genetic predisposition appearing on our complexion. This may present as freckles, rosacea, wrinkles, broken capillaries, dark spots, blotchy skin color, redness of the face and neck, large pore size and uneven pigmentation.
Photo Facial or Photo Rejuvenation is a light laser treatment using intense pulsed light or a low laser setting which corrects these conditions while stimulating collagen structure.
Dramatic improvements can be accomplished with little or no “downtime” and minimal or no discomfort. The perfect “lunchtime” treatment! Sunblock and make-up may be applied immediately after the treatment. And little to no preparation is required. Sun exposure must be avoided 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks post treatment. And in most cases the skin actually continues to look better and improve in appearance in the 2 weeks following the treatment as the light continues to work in the cells for 2 weeks. For Optimal results, a series of 5 treatments spaced 2-4 weeks apart is recommended.
1 treatment – Face – $250
Package of 5 Treatments – Face – $1000
1 treatment – Face, Neck & Declote – $350
Package of 5 Treatments – Face, Neck & Declote – $1400
Am I an ideal candidate to have a Photo Facial?
Anyone who wants to improve their overall skin tone can have a photo facial done.
Specifically, photo facials help reduce the following:
Freckles, dark spots, hyperpigmentation
Redness of face, neck and declote
Enlarged pore size
Blotchiness or uneven pigmentation
What are the benefits of having a Photo Facial?
Improves overall appearance of skin tone
Tightens and firms treated areas
Reduces pore sizes
Since photo facials do not take skin off like other treatments do, they work with the inner cells to promote healthy skin and correct deeper issues
Can be used in conjunction with other topical treatments

This laser uses an air cooling mechanism, so no topical gels, anesthetics or cooling devices are necessary. And all skin types can safely be treated, even the darkest complexions as well as tanned skin.
All of the indications for treatment have also been FDA approved which means they have gone through FDA clinical trials, insuring that the claims made can be substantiated. Several treatments are required for each indication and varies with each condition.

Is a treatment of the hair follicle with a laser device which targets the pigment in the hair traveling down into “root” of the hair disrupting its ability to grow. Hair grows in 3 groups in 3 cycles – an active growing phase, a transient growing phase and a resting phase. The cycles are 28 days long, and in order to deliver an effective treatment, it must be performed on the hair in the active growing phase. In order to “catch” each group in the active growing phase takes 3 treatments.
As you may have discovered, hair can be tenacious – growing when and where you don’t want it to and not growing where you do want it to! Therefore it takes several treatments to eradicate the hair in the treatment area. At least 6 treatments are necessary for most people, but more may be required. Light brown hair, blonde hair, gray and white hair has usually do not respond to the laser hair removal process.
The FDA approved terminology for Laser Hair Removal is Permanent Hair Reduction with an 80-90% reduction expected. The laser process does weaken the hair that is not completely eradicated and remaining hair tends to be very fine, sparse, and light in color. Any remaining hair can be treated with Electrolysis which will permanently remove hair.
However, with all this said, the results from Laser Hair Removal are very satisfying and freeing.

Possible side effects
During the first few days after your treatment, your skin will be sensitive and look like you have a sunburn. Use cold compression and fragrance free moisturizers to help with irritation.
Avoid using makeup on face area if blisters have occurred.
Over the next month, your hair is going to fall out. Make sure you protect your skin using SPF to avoid irritating your treatment areas during this time period. This will also help to prevent possible changes in color where the treatment has been applied.
Though blisters are rare, they can occur for more patients who have a darker complexion.
Potential redness and swelling
